So I have given myself a talking to. There is always the possibility that someone has already done this or something similar and may be able to present the information in a more engaging way but they haven't had the experiences that I have had. The journey that my students and I embarked on was unique to us and so what we have to share from it is unique. By sharing these experiences we can learn from others and hopefully encourage or inspire others to try something new.
The same can be said by the way I intend to share the information. We all have a banner and a page in the brochure and I was interviewed by one of the students about the project. Whilst they were not keen for me to share my profile picture that is on all my social media - apparently a very hairy cob with a beautiful mustache doesn't help identify me- the information and images provided have been accepted. I will also have a stall and it is this that has caused me most worry. I intend to take 2 iPads and showcase one of the Blackboard Collaborate recordings and also the group blog. I am then taking a very low tech approach with paper copies of my planning, student guide and feedback. The Learning Toolbox will have links to Storifys, Sways, blogs and recordings showcasing my work but other than that you get me. Having thought about it is the discussions I can have with people interested in developing collaboration among their colleagues and students. I have lots to share in the way of tips and things we discovered along the way. I also have lots of enthusiasm for these projects and hopefully will inspire someone else to give it a go. So what have I learnt?
I intend to go the event, find out what everyone else is doing and hopefully come away with new ideas and plans.
