Easelly is a website and app that can be used to make infographics. There is a free version that allows limited access to all of the design templates and design objects or you can have a pro-plan for $36 a year. This gives you access to many more designs and objects. I started playing with the free version and soon realised I wanted to use the additional features so upgraded - although I"m sure I could have managed without as you can also upload your own graphics.
Infographics can be used to display information quickly and help to understand complex ideas. With Easelly you can also embed hyperlinks so that more detailed information can be accessed via the infographics. They also offer informative webinars, access to articles and to their design team. I still have to explore all of this in more depth. This is what I managed to produce at first attempt. There are hyperlinks behind several of the boxes that take you to the documents and articles the information is drawn from.
I'm quite pleased with my first attempt and hope to turn some of the students' presentations into infographics that we could display at key events.
So what have I learnt?
